| Info of Journal | Journal of Turkish History Research Given the difficulty of addressing the history of the Turks within a specific time frame and geographical area, the journal has limited its scope to a specific area of Turkish history. The journal aims to contribute to the publication of academic studies that shed light on the historical and cultural heritage of the Turks within the general definition of the Turkish World, specifically in the regions of Russia, Eastern Europe, the Volga-Ural and Siberia, the Caucasus, Iran, and Turkestan. In this context, the Journal of Turkish History Research considers disciplines that address topics such as the political history, statehood traditions, social life, military and economic activities, religious beliefs, etc., of Turks in the specified Turkish geography as part of its publication scope. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December, and includes articles in Turkish, English, and Russian. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Aim and Scope | The Journal of Turkish History Research has limited its scope to a specific area of Turkish history, based on the assumption that it would be difficult to cover the entire history of the Turks within a specific time frame and geographical area. The journal aims to contribute to the publication of academic studies that shed light on the historical and cultural heritage of the Turks within the general definition of the Turkic World, specifically in the regions of Russia, Eastern Europe, the Volga-Ural and Siberia, the Caucasus, and Turkestan.
The Journal of Turkish History Research also considers disciplines that address topics such as the political history, state traditions, social life, military and economic activities, religious beliefs, etc. of the Turks in the regions of Russia, Eastern Europe, Volga-Ural and Siberia, the Caucasus, and Turkistan as part of its publication scope. – Within this broad perspective, the journal has adopted a publication policy of publishing some of its issues as special dossiers. – The articles published within this framework are based entirely on scientific research. – Each issue includes at least one source analysis, book reviews, and (with the authors’ approval) translations. – Although the journal is electronic, a printed copy of each issue is distributed to specific specialized libraries. – The journal, which has no organic ties to any institution or organization, publishes articles by all researchers interested in Turkish history, with the scientific and legal responsibility for the views expressed in the published works resting with the authors.
